HEAT LEVEL: 4/10
Despite its name, not all Kashmiri Chillies originate from Kashmir, but grow all over the Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani regions of the Asian sub-continent.
Also known as Mirch, the Kashmiri is the typical chilli used in the best of Indian chilli powders. Mildly spicy, it rates around 1000 to 2000 SHU’s, which is the same level as Tabasco Sauce. Used primarily to colour your curries in its powder form; using it whole will also improve the depth of flavour in your dishes. (It will also assist in reducing the heat level completely if a very mild curry is what you are looking for).
The Kashmiri is a must have ingredient for all traditional Indian recipes.
WARNING: Always wash your hands after use.
